Abuse Prevention Summit

Description: The 2018 Abuse Prevention: Early Recognition Summit is a free event to learn how to identify abuse and prevent it, featuring experts from around the region who will help to increase awareness for the problems we face today, as well as to share success stories and resources that will help build a stronger and safer community. The summit will include a keynote on Trauma Informed Care from licensed psychologist and associate director of the Survivor Advocacy and Resource Center at Oregon State University, Dr. Judy Neighbors. Additional sessions will address issues such as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Karley’s Law, Darkness to Light - child sexual abuse identification, domestic violence and neglect of children, elders, and those with developmental disabilities.
